For Neighbourhood folks, there's a new addition to the collection today, which is some unheard Gilded Cage stuff I contributed to a simulation game (it had an earlier mention on this blog). Expect detuned choral vocals and weird arps…

I've also been raving about this book over on Mastodon, which all crisp lovers and appreciators of delicious trash will surely understand. Apart from the Bovril crisps featured in the book. They're just plain wrong.
Finally, I'd like to add a bit more enthusiastic hand-waving towards Unstream, which is doing especially brilliant work for smaller artists, their listeners and anyone who cares about music generally. I've been banging on about Mirlo, Bandwagon.fm, jam.coop and others for a little while now as better ways to support new music, in addition to the bigger hitters like Bandcamp and Qobuz. Unstream is handy in that it finds all of those options in one go when searching for an artist, in addition to any other social online homes they might have. Case in point. My hope is that in time, this sort of thing replaces all the Spotify pre-save guff that we really don't need any more of. I first found it on Mastodon (the introvert's Bluesky) and have to say, I'm pretty excited about all the projects popping up to support independent and especially DIY music (see also, TIBtv, which I'm involved with, and the Fediverse music blog NHAM). Onwards and underdog!
