A “museum of more than 900 handheld and tabletop games, from the 70s and 80s”? Oh, go on then (I'm sure Gilded Cage artwork co-conspirator Rob will love this). I've needed a few distractions whilst half of my stuff has been in storage but now, distraction time is over: all the boxes are unpacked and we're back, baby! I have a new song coming out soon called Information Array, which I guess is a bit Siouxsie meets Pet Shop Boys. In fact, it was partly inspired by their song Rent and the strange world of LinkedIn. Or rather, what constitutes an “acceptable” face online. It's a standalone song before the next EP/short album (6-7 tracks, so kind of skirting both). There will be a video up somewhen too, answering the urgent question of “what if a certain 80s Hollywood blockbuster was moved to Littlehampton, had 0 explosions and very little budget?”, so get in early with a tiny bag of popcorn to be notified of when it goes up (or rather, when I sit there at midnight at some point in the next couple of weeks and press “upload”). The song will also be going up on Bandcamp Friday ahead of its formal release date on Spotify and other streaming services, because I find streaming a bit faceless and corporate, although I appreciate that it might be more accessible. And so, here's a giant picture of my face in the style of Teletext (the technological peak of humanity, some might say), which is the basis for the artwork and was adapted from a video still. In other pixel news (and having already mentioned Gilded Cage once), some of my previously unreleased music will be appearing as a special Easter egg in a forthcoming simulation game. There's more about that in this blog post. I think that's all for now. Hasta la vista…maybe?
