This is the first track from the EP. More will be added over the coming months.
Fading away in the attention economy? Losing purpose as the years progress? Anxious about irrelevance?
Is it all just a futile attempt to delay Bungalow Legs?
Drum machines of youth propel rose tinted recollections of 60s sounds. Jamming econo on toy synths and shoegaze pedalboards; a bedroom band, a wonky nostalgia, a cinematic arc toward no future.
No future except the ones we imagine.
Who is dee eye why?
Alienated by the bland homogeneity that algorithmic environments foster, angered by the repositioning of musician from artist to consumer, and faced with a world of cold robot precision; dee eye why resolve to document their human experience, embrace messy expression and collaborate with like minds.
dee eye why is an adherent of Harvey Pekar, David Graeber, Emma Warren and Moore’s R. Stevie & Alan. They celebrate indie graphic novels, true lofi and outsiders everywhere. credits
